ARTWORK TYPES

We accept a wide range of art forms to be featured in our collection.

Marble Surface

DRAWING / PAINTING

Traditional or digital art about a topic/prompt

  • The submission must include: final artwork and artist statement/artwork description

  • Optional submission (but highly encouraged): sketches and work-in-progress images

  • For traditional art: artists will have to submit scanned versions of their artwork

  • Artists have freedom over canvas size (please don’t make it microscopic though)

  • Short comics are accepted (the same submission requirements apply)

POETRY / PROSE

Poem or prose about a topic/prompt

  • The submission must include: the final artwork

  • Optional submission: a short description about the poem

ESSAY / SHORT STORY

Essay or short story inspired by the artist's own experiences, other people’s experiences, factual information, fictional scenarios, etc. about a topic/prompt

  • The submission must include: final artwork

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photographed image about topic/prompt

  • The submission must include: final artwork and a description of the photograph

3-D WORKS

3-D art forms such as fashion design, makeup, crochet, sculpting, crafts, etc. about a topic/prompt

  • The submission must include: photographs of the final artwork and artist statement/artwork description

  • Optional submission (but highly encouraged): work-in-progress photographs

MUSIC

Musical work such as a song or instrumental composition about a topic/prompt

  • Artists must upload their track to YouTube, Soundcloud, or other streaming platforms that are publicly accessible

  • The submission must include: the link to the track and the lyrics to the track (if there are any)

  • Optional submission: a description about the track

OTHER GENERAL RULES

  • Works are accepted in English and/or Khmer

  • Artists are encouraged to submit multiple works

  • Older works are accepted 

  • For writings and comics: the page limit is 15 pages

  • Artists can submit pieces that mix two or more types of artwork (ex. Illustration with the description as an essay/short story, photograph with the description as poetry)

  • Artists have the option to remain anonymous by using a pseudonym
